KoloBios – the composition reconsidered
KoloBios has been reformulated as part of our continuous
product development.
The composition has been specifically adjusted and is based
on modern nutritional scientific concepts.
What exactly has changed?
Psyllium husks are no longer part of the current formulation
The fiber base is still provided by acacia fiber
Newly included: 2-Fucosyllactose
Please note this change, especially if you have used KoloBios before.
What does the new composition mean?
The new formula combines various components that are processed differently in the digestive system.
The decisive factor here is:
Not all food components are fully absorbed in the small intestine. Some specifically reach deeper sections of the intestine – including:
- Dietary fiber
- certain complex carbohydrates
These are scientifically investigated in connection with the digestive system and the microbiome.
A look into the gut
The large intestine contains a multitude of microorganisms. When certain food components reach this area, they encounter these microorganisms there.
These interactions are part of the natural digestive processes and are the focus of current research.
The role of 2-Fucosyllactose
2-Fucosyllactose is a complex carbohydrate that occurs naturally in breast milk.
In the digestive tract, it is not processed like classic sugars.
Instead, it reaches deeper sections of the intestine and is investigated there in connection with microorganisms.
It thus complements the existing fiber base with another component of modern nutritional concepts.
Dietary fiber as a basis
The fiber base of KoloBios is retained. Acacia fiber is a plant-based component that is not
fully digested and reaches deeper sections of the intestine.
This means that dietary fiber
differs significantly from rapidly available carbohydrates.
Modern combination instead of a single component
While classic products often focus on individual ingredients, KoloBios pursues a combined approach:
- Dietary fiber
- complex carbohydrates
- other components
This combination is considered in the context of modern nutritional concepts.

Complementary combination options
KoloBios can be combined with other products as part of a balanced diet.
Example: Darm 13
This contains a combination of bacterial strains and thus complements the concept.
Note
Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced and varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
